In the heart of Cambridge, Ontario, the St. Stephen family came together for an unforgettable day of fun, laughter, and community bonding. On September 2nd, a sunny Saturday, Shade's Mills Conservation Area hosted this joyous occasion. Led by our beloved Vicar, Rev. Fr. Abey Mathew, and supported by the dedicated managing committee members, it was a day filled with cherished moments and shared experiences.
The St. Stephen family values the importance of coming together beyond the walls of the church. The family picnic at Shade's Mills was a testament to this spirit of togetherness. It provided a unique opportunity for parishioners of all ages to connect with one another, share stories, and strengthen the bonds of friendship.
To ensure everyone had a fantastic time, various games and activities were organized. Whether you were a spirited adult, an enthusiastic child, or a wonderful woman, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as families engaged in friendly competitions and challenges.
For the adults, competitive sports and games were set up, from tug-of-war battles to cricket matches. Laughter echoed through the park as participants gave their all, showcasing their competitive spirit and teamwork. The children had a blast with their own set of games and activities. From musical chairs to balloon breaking, their energy seemed boundless. It was heartwarming to witness the joy on their faces as they reveled in the outdoor adventures. The women of St. Stephen's were not left out. They had their own space to unwind, share stories, and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. It was a moment for them to strengthen their bonds and build lasting connections.
No picnic is complete without delicious food, and the St. Stephen family did not disappoint. We provided a delicious lunch of fried rice with chicken and served famous banana fry and tea as afternoon snacks.
The St. Stephen family picnic at Shade's Mills Conservation Area was more than just a day out. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unity. Rev. Fr. Abey Mathew and the managing committee members ensured that every member of the parish had a memorable experience. As we return to our daily lives, we carry with us the warmth of these shared moments and the knowledge that we are part of a loving and caring community. We eagerly anticipate the next gathering, where we can create more beautiful memories together.
